6x6", water mixable oil on gessobord, 3/9/15
SOLD

This week's challenge from dailypaintworks.com is to paint a paper bag. I remember doing this exercise in a watercolor class back in college... it's great for observing form and shadow. I had to throw a juicy red apple in there to make things a little more interesting :)

And speaking of water colors, I may just need to dig those out sometime and give them a go. It's been a while!

  1. I just had to bid on this one. I want to paint in this style! Wonderful. Mostly I have been doing acrylic and watercolor illustrations, but you inspire me to get out my water mixable oils and give it a go again!

  2. Thank you, Penny! I love the water mixable oils. I have two little ones and paint in the corner of our family room, so they work great for me right now because of the low odor. And they are much more forgiving than watercolors!
